2017 Elderly Month Celebration

The City Government of Baguio under the leadership of Hon. Mauricio G. Domogan, City Mayor through the City Social Welfare and Development Office headed by Ms. Betty Fangasan, Department Head II and Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs headed by For. Isiahs V. Barongan in partnership with the Committee on Social Services, Women and Urban Poor chaired by Hon. Leah Aromin Farinas, City Councilor and different Senior Citizen Associations in the city (BEA, FBASECA, BARP, PGRA- Baguio Chapter, VFP Baguio District and USAFIP-NL) conducted the Opening Program and Grand Parade, a special event in the observance of the 2017 Elderly Month Celebration last October 3, 2017 at the Baguio Convention Center.

The event was graced by the guest of honor and speaker: Hon. Milagros A. Magsaysay, one of the two representatives of the Senior Citizen Partylist.

Highlights of the program include the distribution of Cash Grant to the 9 Centenarians of Baguio City and the awarding of the Outstanding Senior Citizens Achievers.
