What is the schedule of impounding?

Dog Impounding Schedule is from Monday to Friday.
Any dog found in public streets, highways, schools, parks, public playground, churches, hospitals, plazas, or in, or upon the premises of another other than its owner or keeper shall be seized by authorized personnel UNLESS THE DOG IS LEASHED AND HELD BY ITS OWNER.

When can I claim my Impounded Dog?

Dog owners may claim/redeem their dogs at the City Pound from Monday to Sunday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Dog owners are given a period of three days inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays to claim their dogs. After three days, unclaimed dogs shall be offered for adoption or donation to schools.

What are the requirements in claiming impounded dogs?

Requirements include Valid ID of the owner and payment of corresponding fees (Impounding Fine of P500.00 and maintenance fee of P50.00 per day of stay at the dogpound);
An additional P50.00 mandatory one time registration fee is also required for unregistered dogs. No registration fee will be collected if the dog is already registered (with proof of registration presented).

What will happen to the unclaimed impounded dogs?

Unclaimed dogs shall be offered for adoption or donation to schools for academic/scientific studies.

How much is the Adoption Fee and what are the requirements?

An Adoption Fee is P650.00. Requirements shall be (1) Barangay Certificate (stating that you are a bonafide resident of the said baranagy, that you are capable of taking care of a dog as a pet and there is no objection from your neighbors), (2) Valid Identification Card, (3) Dog Cage.
